Independent Digital Studio
Lines are drawn to be redrawn.
Boundary Lines is an independent digital studio working across games, tools, and digital experiences.
We work across categories, turn ideas into finished work, and publish the record of every design, build, and revision.

Principles
01
Work across categories
We do not define ourselves by a single category. We start from a problem instead. Games, tools, and writing are different ways of answering the same question, and we will keep opening new lines as they come.
02
Practice first
Every product and every piece we publish has been built, used, and verified by the team itself. Nothing goes out that has not been tested in practice.
03
Built to be used
We start from real needs and only build what people will actually use. Every piece of work aims at solving a concrete problem — not at formal complexity, but at whether it delivers real value.

What We Do
Four lines, one studio.
01
Games
Games built around their systems
We care about games, and about the system design underneath the play. Our first title is in early development, and the design notes will be published before the game is.
02
AI & Tools
Tools that came out of real needs
Workflow utilities and AI-assisted tooling for creators and people who work on the internet. Every tool serves our own work first, and is released only after it has proved itself in use.
03
Journal
How digital products get built
Close looks at game economies, business models, and content operations — the full path from idea to release, including the steps most case studies leave out.
04
Experiments
Prototypes, research, and exploration
Prototypes, technical research, and exploratory work. These are not aimed at becoming products; they build the experience and judgement that later decisions rest on.
Latest from the Journal
The Journal is about how systems work — game economies, AI tools, platform algorithms. The subject changes; the question underneath does not.

Prototypes, technical research, and exploratory projects. They are not aimed at becoming products and carry no long-term support; they build the experience and judgement that later decisions rest on.
About the Journal →About
Boundary Lines is an independent digital studio. We are not chasing scale — we are building work with a clear point of view and lasting value.
More about the studio →What's Next
The goal is not to be the biggest site in any category, but to produce a body of work with a clear point of view that people return to and cite.
Game content leads. Tools and our own products follow.
